i am a social worker cultivated into denotation and connotation defining group dynamics by words such as "isolate", "rejectee" "neglectee" but i never knew the meaning of the phrase "to be of color" i know about diagnosis prognosis modus operandi abuse reports court cases Mother Teresa and Ghandi but i never knew the meaning of the phrase "to be of color" i look at people through my eyes withdrawing regressing coping growing fighting raping murdering dying but i never knew the meaning of the phrase "to be of color" i hear people with my ears grumbling denying projecting suppressing scolding defending lying offending but i never knew the meaning of the phrase "to be of color" i sense people with words of wonder: beautiful sculptures formed lovingly from precious shades of clay by a Sensual Artist for His Grand Finale Written March 10th, 2002 © on Mar 09 2002 04:30 PM PST, Myra Lochner society • love • hope
