outside the windows cars' wheels rotate fast on the thick asphalt barking dog tied to the pole on the corner of the street chirping birds perhaps they utter, "night's approaching, where should we sleep?" scraping match,  someone is about to smoke paul and john on the local radio, "you've got to hide your love away" odwalla fridge, breathing white and foamy milk, being steamed young woman like myself says hello and can-i-help-you my sweetest friend inhaling, and exhaling right beside me my subtle voice, back in the depth of my mind, "sometimes little things like being here can widen your lips" a smile is born.Originally titled: "Hanging Out at a Cafe" Revised: Aug 30, 2002 Written March 31st, 2002 © on Aug 30 2002 09:37 PM PST   18 • 0 • 12
