Letters (Poetic Addiction)
By naninina
Poems are like letters, only without the envelopes, stamps and specific addresses Who finds it, gets the privilege to read or to ditch it *** Brothers and Sisters, I write about you all the time I write to you all the time *** So come to me, come Tell me Please tell me from the start Talk oh talk to me Spill your guts Pour it out, pour it all out on me Do anything that will make me see you know you like you hate you want to touch you Do anything for the love of the world and don't stop, you never cease to amaze me *** Know that my affection to you is always present If you don't see it or can't sense it, don't turn away, I promise you'll find it again Know that I miss you all the time Like breathing, I can't stop missing you Like breathing, I can't stop writing to you *** I will give you water I will give you flowers, the stars in the sky and the mountains, and all the things that make you blush smile stretch sigh weep Even if you sob, it will be a good cry So peaceful and relieving you will want more *** I promise I will never leave my pen and paper I promise I will never quit you Like breathing, I can't stop writing poetryI see my relationship with my reader as an intimate one. And this one is for each of you, my reader. I'd also like to thank two people that have helped and inspired me a lot lately: Lurie and Sheer Poetry. Thus this poem is dedicated to them. Again thank you everyone, from the bottom of my heart, for reading my work. Happy Valentine's Day Written February 14th, 2002 © on Feb 13 2002 06:09 PM PST 18 • 0 • 8
