The Gift of the Universe (Challenge Poem)

By naninina

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

1 (Morning) The sight is full of scattering sandals and colorful towels Sand, water, and humans unite Through tinted glasses, the women and men witness and enjoy the gift of the universe Through the eyes of innocence, the lovely children run helter-skelter and scream uncontrollably, but happily, at such an open space 2 (Right Before Sunset) Two humans left A man and a woman Touching skins Pressing lips Feeling love Walking side by side Holding hands Watching sunset Whispering Laughing (Almost unheard) 3 (Night) No single being Just nature Quiet just the sound of the flowing water just the sound of the surrounding animals and trees just the sound of the wind Dark just the light of the moon Peaceful Just Nature and the Ocean The Ocean is the gift of the Universe.Submission to Challenge held by webdreamer (The poem has been revised/changed a bit) Written February 12th, 2002 © on Feb 11 2002 05:50 PM PST   0 • 10
