.. car door slammed stopped briefly at the light our last exchange echoed I told you my plan of abandonment how I was no longer wanted you needed you how I wished you D E A D and how already you're dead to me I watched your still sunken face puff up and a few heavy tears washed away streaks of fake color Now your skeleton slips away running- stressing pneumonia-filled lungs to catch the transit and avoid hitchhiking away from your neglectful daughter Damnit a tear highlighting my plump red cheek we are in such different places out of sight I pray briefly you've caught your bus wipe my face move on Written April 10th, 2002 © on Apr 10 2002 12:34 PM PST   0 • 10
