Rush!

By Nariah

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Rush Rush! laundry, dishes, coffee! Rush! Rush! sweeping, email, mop! Rush! Rush! shower, hair and teeth brushed! Rush! Rush! dressed, shoes socks! Rush! Rush! drive, stop, gas up! Rush! Rush! get to work, unlock! Rush! Rush! papers, papers, papers Rush! Rush! "yes, ma'am" "shut up!" Rush! Rush! daycare, shopping, dinner! Rush! Rush! (never gonna stop!) Rush! Rush! laundry, dishes, coffee! Rush! Rush! tick, tick, tock! This is a post-meditation poem- I am making fun of myself. I think it is a little silly, but I am feeling better about life than I was a week ago! (Ever notice how much easier it is to write in misery?)
