Ode to my bed

By natb17

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Here I lay wrapped in these sheets of colored cotton embraced by the thickness of warm blankets dependent upon the springs of my mattress to console my tired body secured for rest as a pillow of silk gently cradles my restless imagination So here I lay, dreaming sweet dreams as my body heat circulates Into a deeper trance I fall.. Then I awake the sun is upon me My nocturnal grave is crushed. Written March 19th, 2002 © on Mar 18 2002 11:52 PM PST   18 • 0 • 14
