sing song traveler (AP ASSIGNMENT)

I am nothing, But a sing song traveler. Moving and flitting From town to town. Hitting the road each dawn, And spending each night in a different shelter. I am nothing but a Sing song traveler Regaling my newly met friends With something unknown to them. As a butterfly I jump, As a squirrel I scamper; Leaving behind but my traces. On some faces And in some hearts As the words of my songs. I am nothing but a Sing song traveler As I move, I come across towns. Towns all different from one another. On some lips I leave Behind a happy song And on some, a sad tale. As a sing song traveler I start this dawn And reach a town All happy faces, Smiles and smirks Abound in here. And I begin my song ‘Life is happiness with sprinkled grains of sorrow…’ I tell the tale of an Unknown friend, About his sadness and loss And when I am done, I can see— Not an eye remains dry. The night has fallen and Day has come to rest. I sleep waiting For morrow. As dawn breaks, I move again To a town of pain, Death and sorrow. Tears abound Streaming down bright eyes. And when someone asks, ‘Who art thou?’ I begin my traveler’s song ‘I art thy friend And come from a land of happiness As misery isn’t what all life is made of. Its got beauty and joy too.’ And when I am done with I know that Happiness has found yet Another home here. As the sun sets and Sky turns a pale crimson, I arrange my bed And think to myself My experiences as a sing song traveler. Each town becomes home for a day. All people my kith… Some need happiness And some a little sorrow. Moving across cities and climes Spreading the message, I am just a sing song traveler. My job remains To tell stories And let people Regale in them. When I left my clime? I don’t remember When I would reach back? I can’t pre-decide. I can just as a sing song traveler Flit from town to another Spreading a little peace And love; Making the place a Little more better. Yes I am nothing But a sing song traveler. I came as one And will go as one Just a sing song traveler. Written April 16th, 2002 © on Apr 15 2002 04:35 PM PST   0 • 10
