There must be a reason
By neha bhat
For anything and everything in this world, there is a reason. Whether big or small, there is a rationale behind everything. Raison de etre: the reason to be perhaps defines all the undertakings and activities of man... ~~*~~ When I sit and start to think, the clock strikes sixty, sixty times. Why? Well it has a reason to be. Time moves on, but I, I stay behind. With my thoughts, thinking and reflections. And suddenly from nowhere, burns in me a desire to excel. Why? Well it has a reason to be. Going ahead one and coming back two steps is sometimes and sometimes not me. Success for me is not what we ‘all’ define it to be. Why? Well it has a reason to be. A vision not nebulous but crystalline Is my picture of future. But fear impedes me somewhere in between. ‘Stop!’ it says. And I do, think twice yet somehow remain unwise. Why? Well it has a reason to be... Loneliness I thought did me good. But a crowd usurped me pleasantly. Without a warning. Not that I didn’t like. And the mind races why? Well, it has its reason to be... Truth scares me. Falsehood though comforting, scars. Assurances are artificial. Perhaps then, is nothing real? Yes, I hear. Nothing is real. Why? Well it has its reasons to be. Home and belonging I never had. Never felt the need to own one. But today, I felt the need to return. To a place I knew as my own. Sadly I have none. Why? Well, it has a reason to be... The clock strikes sixty sixty times. Again. And a voice assumes its sound: why? Well, I guess, I say, there must be a reason. A reason to be. For everything.THIS IS SOMETHING VERY PERSONAL BUT I WANTED TO SHARE IT THANKS NEHA Written March 4th, 2002 © on Mar 04 2002 02:21 PM PST 0 • 10
