'Demon Wars' ( flip-side )

Standing in a great hall of smooth black stone, Darker then the deepest night. Waiting very patiently, For when the time is right. A great black knight enters, And in a low rough voice speaks; "The hoard is in place my lord" Then leaves to join his place. I pick up my blade, As my brothers and I lead the hoard to battle. Through black voids we pass, To reach the land we seek The Voids open at the foot of mountains Our target on the other side. Some scale the great height Some take to the skies. We reach the summit and begin our descent. The Great Silver Towers are in plain view now. Faster and faster we move, screaming down the mountain side Washing down like a great black wave upon the city. Their once great walls hold for only seconds Against our dark force. Four angels rise up to escape, Only to meet my blade. Their blood splashing against my wings Bringing a smile to my face. Seven white priest's step out of the first tower, And begin to weave their magic, When they are swarmed by thirty winged beasts, Their pieces flying everywhere. Screams of death and the clash of steel Are now all that fill the air. But it is not long before the enemy falls And we claim victory for ourselves. With the last fighters dead, I Stand upon the tower, I looked down to see, where there were once streets, There are now rivers, of blood and rotting corpes' We feast well that night For there is much freshly slaughtered meat. The first attack is victorious. It is the start of the true great war. Written January 15th, 2002 © on Jan 14 2002 08:19 PM PST   0 • 10
