I hope that he leaves me alone today
By oomasangels
Her piercing blue eyes stare off into space, The innocence gone from her sweet little face, A lock of blonde hair falls over her brow, Yet still can not hide her pitiful scowl. Not one tear did that sweet baby shed, For inside her tiny heart was dead. She knows no longer what childhood means, Goblins have replaced her butterfly dreams. No longer does she play care-free, Outside among the flowers and trees. No dolls or tea parties no ribbon or lace, Just that sad little girl in that sad little place. Deep in thought way beyond her years, Keeping inside all those horrible fears. Fears that no child should ever feel, That to her now had become so real. She sits alone so sad looking as if to say, I hope that he leaves me alone today. (Please pray for the children today) Written August 8th, 2001 © on Aug 07 2001 04:56 PM PST 0 • 1
