I watched you cross the street today I knew that it would be the last I tried to soak of every detail For when the moment passed A bus pulled up and blocked my view You were gone to another life In spite of sadness, I had to laugh I thought you’d be my wife The light turned green and the bus was off I was left in a cloud of gray The thick exhaust explained my mood More than words could say The last day of our daily routine Not coming home tonight I will miss everything You told me that and you were right Written June 1st, 2001 © on Jun 03 2001 11:51 PM PST   0 • 8
