I sit in stillness in my room Exchanging gazes with the wall Surrounded in my tepid tomb Finding solace in nothing at all I seek a poem or a song A comforting word or touch Wondering where I went wrong How, so hurriedly, could I lose so much? My questions are greeted by silence I'm lost beyond belief I'd gladly give my worldly possessions To grant my heart some small relief.
