A Summer Evening in Indiana
By Pandora
Fireflys twinkle in the night, like earth bound stars, flying though air thick and heavy with the smell of green and the promise of rain. Foretold by thunder that rumbles from dark and bloated clouds spreading fingers of lightening across the sky. The fireflys chased into hiding by wind that wrestles with the trees, trying to bend them to it's will. The rain comes driving across the fields, so hard you can hear it's progress. A summer storm that departs as quickly as it arrives, to let the fireflys twinkle again Written April 9th, 2002 © on Apr 09 2002 01:23 PM PST 0 • 10
