If My Love Could Be... If my love could be a poem And it were all for you, Then I would write forever And times the love by two. If my love could be a flower That only bloomed within your eyes, Then I would live forever And never, ever die. If my love could be a tear drop That has streamed along your face, Then I would always know In your heart I found a place. If my love could be a blue-bird That has never flown away, Then I would always be here ‘Cause I’d never go astray. If my love could be a blanket That has never left you cold, Then I would be forever Right here for you to hold. If my love could be the soft wind That has whispered in your ear, Then I would tell you secrets And the things you need to hear. If my love could be the sunset That has left you with a smile, Then I would know forever That our love was worth the while. If my love could be the dark road That makes your wrongs a right, Then I would always make sure That you could find a light. If my love could be a rainbow That fills your day with color, Then I would always love you In the Winter, or the Summer. If my love could be the strength That you need for just one day, Then I would do my best To help in every way. If my love could be the heartbeat That is dancing in your chest, Then I would always miss you ‘Cause in your arms I need to rest.
