Sorry Loz!
By papillon72
Sorry Loz! I wrote this poem for my friend Lozza. She was illegally tackled in a football match and had both her collarbones broken. Unfortunately i had left the game early and was not there for her when she was asking for me in her time of need. It may sound minor but she has never asked for anything from me and the one time she did....I failed. I'm sorry that I wasn't there, to watch you get the ball, I'm sorry that I wasn't there, to stop you from your fall, I'm sorry that I wasn't there, when you hit the ground and broke, I'm sorry that I wasn't there, to offer you a smoke. I wish that I had been there, so i could've run to you, And helped you on your feet, like a friend should do. But I wasn't, so i couldn't And I didn't 'cos of that, But to you my good friend Lozza I will take off my hat. I know your just a fighter A woman made of steel With two broken collarbones, I hope will soon be healed. So I give this poem to you To tell you that I care And I will always regret, That for you I was not there! Written January 15th, 2002 © on Jan 14 2002 05:36 PM PST 0 • 1
