If.....

By Pat G

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

If I could but travel backwards, fall through time yet stay in place In that flight of time and fancy would I change my course of fate. Could I choose my blissful mem’ries basing life on only those. Would I lose those dreadful moments that decree how life now flows. If I elect to mold my his’try could I do as well as fate. Would my soul twist new additions back to where old evils wait. Tell me if the life I’m given could affect how others live. Is it best to deal with horror and project this love I give. So that others caught and tender can believe that joy awaits just beyond the price of terror in the arms of Mercy’s mate.Written a few years ago for a friend in crisis Written March 13th, 2002 © on Mar 13 2002 04:18 AM PST, Pat Grantt   0 • 9
