Sleeping (A Bad Memory)
By Paul B
I lost her as she lay in my bed, Gently sleeping Her body and mine Close as we were Lay apart and even our minds couldn’t touch. I missed her as I lay in my bed Gently crying The wind blew outside Inside too. And still she slept, gently breathing. Two bodies, two people, one bed. Two souls and two fates. I prayed for sleep I prayed for dreams And I fled to memories of one past.Just a bad memory of a bad time Written January 12th, 1998 © on Jan 17 2002 08:17 AM PST 0 • 1
