When we were kids everything was great we played for endless hours but never really late baseball and basketball hockey and lacrosse in the summer sun or in the winter frost riding bikes and swimming holes fighting imaginary goblins and trolls now that we are older things have changed a bit friends come and go but our fire stayed lit through thick and thin rough and old middle school unfold freshman year brought new faces new ides and different places high school started the other day we made new friends and went to play making music all day long until she came along i called your house , you weren't home your mom said you rode you bike alone i rode with friends of ancient lost through our old old frost i saw you there oh friend of friends standing where the sidewalk ends talking laughing , talking still who is that person? who is that girl? i walked over to say hello you walked away and i got mellow i went home and wondered why our old friendship made me cry until that i made a choice to listen to that inner voice i kicked and screamed cried and dreamed back when things were perfect we had each other everyday ran and played through think and thin friends and kin all the things we planned for now are over here gone somehow ended by an evil face never again in this place love is strong and friend stay long until it becomes a song a song of sorrow a song of fright into the brainwashed night whatever happen to those days the days i miss and always praise until the day we meet again in my mind i love you my friend so when she leaves ill be here crying tears of hope and fear Written February 12th, 2002 © on Feb 12 2002 01:42 AM PST 18 • 0 • 1
