Dying to Know Yourself

By poet0angel

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Her family cared for her. And loved her so dearly. But day by day the cruelty of the world pulled her in. The little girl had to grow up so fast. One day her heart started to harden. To cry, she just could not do. Her heart ached with rage and pain. Friends she had were only few. All she could see was the bad things in this world that we live in. She knows only a little that is left of her, the good that used to shine. Everyday she dies on the inside, a tiny bit more each day. But now the little girl is trying to fight the cruel world. All she wants back, is herself. Written March 30th, 2002 © on Mar 30 2002 04:58 AM PST   0 • 1
