Night's Hand
By poet0angel
Lights are fading, only one glow luminates the air. From the safety of my steps, do I step out? Do I dare? A cool zephry slaps me in the face, the cold air makes it burn. All I can hear are small croaks, now my stomach churns. Shadows dance in my yard, from where do they all come? Little bright dots are scattered in the sky, but something is missing. Where's the sun? The world seems to be sleeping, and nothing is on the move. Even the soft whisps of clouds, are moving, very few. Darkness grabs hold as it sweeps across the land. And every creature still awake, night holds in its hand. Written April 15th, 2002 © on Apr 15 2002 10:28 AM PST 0 • 10
