your angelic beauty swift with carehas bared too muchharden with all that you are givenstill you keep truckingnever looking backnever not once stoppingnot for me or usnot all those road blocksthat have damned your wayor the misfortunes that have tortured your very soulyou keep truckingkeep caringkeeping lovingmy ladybug of faithhands harden and ashedyet your true love shines throughputting it in your pocketgave it to us to share to take a bite and dissolved itas covered sister's buggy filled with dirty clothes from the wondrous old placeone sitting stackedthree laundry bags filled with yester year's clothingwhile walking to the mom and pop's shopand you face so determined with baby girl on hipwhile I startled behindtrying to hold on the box of tide with Clorox slightly spilling on my tee shirti loved the scent of freshly cleaned dresses hanging on the pole ofthe laundry basketon the side stepi chewed on sunflower seedsadmiring the high school girlswith there fanned ponytailswith bangs dyed blonde at the centeri remember you hugging meloving me softlycause i am your firstwhile our baby was curled up in the strollerunder her favorite pink blanketwe sat folding white sheets as the sun setswe were a closer family thenpoor but a little rich familyneeding each others' love to get us through the stormTo My Momma--you are blessed...you given it all and never asked not once for anything in return Written November 25th, 2001 © on Nov 25 2001 05:40 AM PST   0 • 8
