~Greatest Inspiration~
*Another Write of My Christian Faith* ~Again, Please judge on the poetic quality~ ~Greatest inspiration~ People were astounded on His every word- There were some who thought He was absurd. For the greatest man of faith, he'd become; Where oh where, they asked did he come from? He had the proven keys to reality's truth. Yet His sneerers denied his imminent proof. So they conspired to attack, his being wise. Yet He had such a way to open their eyes. So many tried, His credibility to trod, but they couldn't deny, He walked with God. Funny thing is, evidence they really knew, He knew exactly what made foes faces blue. Dare they to conceive to try entangling Him. His disposition was at times bleak and grim. All He wanted was to lavish love to all men. Jealousy arose for back attacks again and again. This man, hated because he convicted the heart. Anyone could've accommodated if they gave a start. But because of things like pain, sin and death, this man diligently gave all with His dying breath. OH! Jesus! Man, God, you went through so much. Who on earth, not be heartened by your touch. I choose to honor you, my sweat of dedication. For you my Lord are my greatest inspiration. So they come like you said, giving oppression. But I have no dread, I'll stand my position. For like You, I shall not fear, what men may do- as long as my heart and faith, keep being true. Someday, like you promised, all will see clear, my hard efforts, though meager, but yet quite dear, Because I'm most certain you grade us on effort. We are infallible beings who often fall short. But I take comfort, to try doing my best work, Loving those who'd let me and not being a jerk. By every idle word we say, we're judged on this. So, I'll bite my fiery tongue, try passing out bliss. People can sling me spears, like it was for You, but by your example, I'll stand strong and true. It will never be easy to tolerate my pain, but someday, I know, love only shall reign. ***** Poetic Fanatic ***** Written February 11th, 2002 © on Feb 11 2002 12:34 PM PST, Thomas Crumpler 0 • 13
