I'm Happy- I Choose To Be
I'm Happy Because I Choose To Be I could complain, not being rich or of a pain that often recurs. I could gripe, my house, a mess or that my family easily stirs. I could say life's very cruel, which indeed it has been to me. I could choose to wallow in pity, but I'm happy because I choose to be. Now, I can see it's all up to me, how good life can be these days. For it is an utmost certainty, the darkness is of my own haze. I'm happy because I choose to be, I can envision sunshine in my eyes and if a dark cloud hovers over me, it is my choice only to recognize- What lessons from it can I take? Obviously there's something to learn. Maybe to avert making a mistake, I'll know how not to get burned. Every action has it's own reaction, The choice is up to each of us. When facing storms and lightning, we can stay or hide in the bushes. As the great tides come rolling in, do you resist against the rumble? Possibly, maybe your ship's there too, and you're caught up in a stumble. Life is loaded with fateful surprises, shall you be one to add there-to? It's better yet, to try, higher rising, that's exactly what I choose to do. © 2,002 Thomas F.
