~My List Of Nevers~

By Poetic Fanatic

Deity? Morality? Philosophy? Or Humanity?- It usually works for me. ~My List Of Nevers~ Never........... Seek a shortcut on life's long road- it'll be a dead end somewhere and we have no warning till, right upon it. Never........... Let any one soul dictate your thinking- For if you do, then you will never know who loves you for being yourself. Never........... Compromise the values you hold dear- Acceptance of others is mandatory, but that does not mean, diving in blindly. Never........... let confusion in anger control you doing, things not comprehended in your wildest dream, even with someone who's your worst nightmare. Never........... Cast a judgment on another who hurt you not, in spite of the sincerity told by your friend- For tales grow longer and a coin has two sides. Never........... Allow yourself to be a pawn in one's chess game- If that is what your friend needs you for, your value as a human has greatly depreciated. Never........... Let the contagion of rage spread onto you- Like a fire, roaring... or a wild tornado, sooner or later it will cease, then comes peace. Never turn away a friend who reaches in need, This one will be without doubt your greatest asset and if you refuse your kindness, you'll know regret. Never.......... Be like a simple number in an enormeous mass, for your opinion will be light, your spirit, low and you won't impress many in your class. Never.......... Put your good name on the line to salvage yesterday, things change and we must ALL flow with the tide, for if you oppose that, strife will rule your life. Never.......... Persecute anyone's personal belief system- For the truth is AS IS and though perception might reach enlightenment, let each, find his own. Never.......... Be jealous over anyone you might not favor- whether they may be rich or famous we must see, with great abundance comes great responsibility. *Maybe this should be a series?* Lol PF ***** Poetic Fanatic ***** Thomas F. Crumpler © 2,002 Feb. 15thMost of these, I've lived by all of my life, but like I said before, being here at this place has taught me a lot and now these ideas are integrated into my list of nevers.
