Recipe Of Poetry
Recipe Of Poetry, For you, From Me Hello Friend, c'mon in, sit and rest your feet. Lose the frown, put on a smile, I have us a treat; poetry stew, good to chew, I'm making just for you, so sit back and relax, tell me with you, what is new? I'm in my kitchen, if you might, like to come and see, the way that I, unlike many, prepare, my kind of poetry. Great! Walk over this way, be careful, the stove is hot. Now OK, here, the required ingredients that I have got; First, we gotta' have meat, a good theme if you will... easy to bite into, tender, making tasty, our meal. Next, the potatoes and tomatoes, meaning and metaphor- A few diced carrots, an onion and a couple, things more. We cook these slowly, checking, tasting for consistency. What else is there you'd like to go into your poetry? Ah, some peas if you please... sure I got them too; assonance and cadence work for these, sound ok to you? Alliteration for a mild sensation of spice to make it nice. Don't forget the rhyme, a touch of thyme, just finely diced- Some basil, garlic to sprinkle... making this creation unique, salt and pepper, a douse of barbecue sauce, I like mesquite. Ok, it's all cooking up, I can't wait for my first bowl. So, with any luck... this dinner will be a big collosal. It smells good, ah, great food, next time, it'll be greater. Well, want more, come back, till then, I'll see You Later. ***** Poetic Fanatic ***** Written October 21st, 2001 © on Dec 10 2001 06:49 AM PST, Thomas Crumpler 0 • 10
