~The Tree~ Part II
~The Tree~ Part II Cursed, wretched tree where the blood streamed, on that notable hill that God and Man screamed- Into the vessel from which he chose to drink, now in His memory, He wants, all to think. Can you See the blood trickel into the cup, there on the tree as His life's given up? At His last breath, fierce Lightning flashed, the earth was shaken, great forces clashed. The sun was so ashamed, hiding of it's face, the people were stunned awing into space. The dark hour commenced, waiting for light on the historical day, day became night. Third day approached and low and behold! People running with a story, had to be told- He's risen they said, see where he laid, the deed was done, the full debt, paid. Witnesses, many knew of the truth then, others conjured ideas, conspiracies began. Was He real, Was he God, Was He a man too? Was He able to break death's doorway through? Today His believers practice to commune, emblems of His sacrifice, His return soon. We hath life, yet our bodies will perish- For God has chosen your soul to cherish. ***** Poetic Fanatic ***** Written April 15th, 2002 © on Apr 15 2002 04:12 AM PST, Thomas Crumpler 0 • 13
