~Thirty Nine Septembers~
* A Christian's View. Tommy Thirty Nine Septembers I have seen Thirty Nine Septembers. I'm aware, all aspects of living, contemplating life's many questions, the reasons and... all, its meaning. I've experienced many happy times, mingled with a bountiful of bitter, felt feelings of ecstasy and misery, 'though tempted, I am not a quitter. Looking at the excellent beauty, of the world that is all about- God is above every part of it, I know beyond any kind of doubt. One often wonders why we are here, "what's our Creator doing up there", watching and waiting, patiently... expecting each of us, do our share; Shining good when trouble is nearing, Aiding the afflicted when we're able- Cheering up the brokened down spirit; Help make one's life better a little- Relish in the wondrous gift of living, Using our God-given attributes to labor- Stand back, behold our accomplishments, with a smile of fleeting contented favor. As mortal beings, we all want to leave, our little mark embedded in this place- To say "I was here" is a futile legacy, in the grand scheme of time and space- To use all of our efforts relentlessly, showing the whole world that we came. But it is all simply total vanity, because the world remains the same. Leaving our past upon this old earth, is like the tombstone, fading and breaking. It will inevitably be forgotten for sure, crushed to the dust, from of it's making. It would be much wiser not to worry of pressing to have your name left here- It's much more important to be certain up there, that your name would appear. I'm thankful, my Thirty Ninth September, gaining much of a truth in that span. Here, if I'm forgottened or remembered, it's not much to consider for a plan. But when my spirit returns to my Maker, I have the promise to rest in happiness. What with this weary world, any offer, would make me want to miss, out on this? ***** Poetic Fanatic ***** Thomas F.
