The Calm Before the Storm
Don't speak, I have already heard the words, don't take another breath, I have embraced. Don't lie, I have by now, scratched the itchy doubt, don't cry in the event, I have already felt. The tears in my eyes reflect the haze of my coffin, flaunting demise and fleeing my mind's curtains. I'm slipping away from my soul's perception, entombing effervescence in life's inception. Could it be, my words crash the tides in time, alike the vibrant divine surmise in rhyme? Like the flow in fortune, belief remains unspoken, of a frightful omen that has been at last awoken. Can mortal man pay tribute to his defeat, or continue before the name of self retreat? Oh my God, I can't escape the memory, not blessed, but cursed with this burden for eternity. An offspring of the Abyss, I am son of the archfiend, and coveted Father, of insanity! Oh my God, Lord, it's the calm before the storm!
