Letting Go
By Rainbowriter
It doesn't mean much that you think My life is not a waste. You strip away the ugliness that surrounds me. I claw for solid ground, But it crushes under my own weight. Will I burn in heaven like I do down here? I never thought i could feel so low. Oh darkness, i feel like letting go. With all the courage and the strength I will fly away from this place. No, I will not turn around. I've crossed the last line From where I can't return. It's much peaceful up here. Are you an angel? Am I that gone? I hope that I won't disappoint you Down here on my knees. When the sky starts to fall, You won't see me cry. You can't pick me up When I'm stuck to the ground. I watch the stars start to fall, You won't see me cry. It seems that there's no hope for me, But you won't see me cry. Written March 31st, 2002 © on Mar 31 2002 02:00 PM PST 18 • 0 • 1
