What Love Is...
Her eyes spoke wonders to my soul I could feel the breeze slowly passing by I, walking forward like an inorganic fate Knowing that my complex feelings would collapse Reaching her I slowly turned into a dark shadow As a small glimmer of audacious hope rose… and fell I stumble back out of sight, away yet again They say true love is but a hallucination in our minds I think they are fools to believe in such lunacy What, without love, would we aspire to have in life? Would dreams be the same without the passion of love? Guiding our thoughts to believe in something more I don’t imagine that possible, not in the least The reassurance of love’s tender kiss is all I want It is a desire, nay, a necessity in life, that is what love is So I walk forward, darkness lifted from my path Ready to reach my dream, my need, my love Fate would either be cruel or compassionate But love would always remain the same Written April 21st, 2002 © on Apr 21 2002 08:36 AM PST 0 • 8
