Blue Intensity
By Ravenas
Straining, grasping, for something that is real. In a world where fantasies are my only hope for survival, In a world that doesn't know. Where can I find another bleeding heart like myne? ~I have it here but I can't touch it. I know deep in my soul it's only a matter of time…~ ~When can I reach out and grasp another piece of your life? When will you reach out for me?~ My insecurity surrounds me, and brings out, My deepest fears. I'm drowning in a pool of tears. I'm calling for you Bound in silver chains Your heart cries out, I hear you too I'm reaching out but cannot touch. It's like being surrounded by water, You cannot drink. I'm dying of thirst, Dying without your nectar of life. That you have given me so lovingly. A war of right and wrong within my soul. The silky threads of my heart, Breaking with each word of no. Take me out of this hellish charade. A world of fools, Around the truth so much the parade. To keep us from, Reaching for one another. But don't let them fool you. It's part of their scheme. But sometimes what they call truth, is not what it seems You're swallowed by an abyss so dark And all that's left is nothing to see But your eyes of blue intensitya collaboration with *Kallara* my coz, I took her raw emotion and put it into words, which she fit into a format and suggested changes to make it have somewhat of a rhyme scheme. If you have read my other poems, you can see rhyme is pretty much my nemisis, so I'm asking for suggestions before I re-write this in a free verse format...
