(a letter to...)

Dear (You know who you are), You know, people write about many universal truths, I being one of them. They write of pleasure, they write of pain, they write of happiness and sorrow, they write of love and hate, heaven and hell, angels and demons, life and dying and so many more things that are just a part of life. As we live our lives, we learn of these universal experiences. Most of us have seen heaven at one time in our lives, if we be so lucky, and I doubt that any have been so lucky as not to ever have glimpsed a tiny taste of hell at the least. I do believe that we are surrounded by angels and I know many that have helped me to find my way when I found myself lost. And I know that I have been a life saving angel to friends and stranger alike oh so many times. So I write of these things many times and over again. I feel that negativity is not a productive emotional state, this much I've learned long ago, so I try to avoid dwelling in that realm as much as possible. I read of negativity in the attitude of your statement here. You do have a right to express your opinion and it is welcome, but this one, to me, seems just a bit childish and lacking in the understanding that comes with age. Many are blind, and many are sent from heaven so many writings will state such things. So yes, I have been to heaven, and I have seen hell time and again, and of these things I do write. Open your mind and your heart will follow, or don't. After all, it is your mind. Signed, RJS Jr.A very young writer replyed to on of my pieces, that I thought was quite good, I might add, and showed a bit of disregard for my poetic license. This person said ""There is something I wanna bring up.. something that's used a little to much when people write poetry.."". All I can say is "Open your mind, or change the channel, but do not show to me this disrespect in a contemptuous manner for my freedom to express myself and share my soul. Please!
