A Lifetime

By Richard J Sereday Jr

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

If a lifetime could be lived out in just one night, then mine was lived with you. Deep down in my heart you've reached, where few have ever been. And I think for you I have done the same, my heart it tells me so. Both our worlds so far apart, but hearts in perfect tune. In a different time, in a different place, how different things would be. A precious gift I see in you, I would cherish for all times. Our one night has left me dreaming, of oh, so many more, holding you gently tight and never letting you go. Oh, but to dream.
