a time undefined

By Richard J Sereday Jr

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

I'll be here, waiting, wanting, dreaming, for a time undefined. Know me as a dreamer, dreaming of you, knowing these dreams my never come to be, so I do not pray, but hope and wish, with all that I am, that our hearts may find a way to be together. Now that I think about it, our hearts, they are already together, though we be far apart. It is the physical that is crying out for the joining that may never be. Are these dreams just barely out of reach or are they totally unreachable, that only a fool would dream such dreams? If that be the case then a fool am I. Will these dreams ever endure beyond morning light? Holding you in my arms and I never want to let go. Oh, to dance face to face with my dreams come true, if only for a moment.
