Angel From Afar

By Richard J Sereday Jr

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Wrap me in your wings angel from afar. With your tender heart, soothe my tormented soul. Bring to me the strength to battle life unfair. My powers, they do grow, with the sweet mercy you provide. The time it is at hand, that I might rise again. Your ear, I bend with word, as I question of your wisdom. To accumulate your knowledge, what price you've had to pay. Your words, like rose petals, do fall before my feet. My path, you have made clear, as where to go from here, Angel from Afar. This is a tribute to one who has grown to become one whom has earned a very special place in my heart from a place very far away as we did meet across these wires. It is a big world, it is a small world, some things being universal. Thank you Dear, I think you'll know of whom I speak. Written December 20th, 2001 © on Dec 20 2001 01:46 AM PST   0 • 12
