Before my eyes
Fall apart before my eyes, and in front of those who do provide the care that is required. These givers of the care who in reality, need care in and of themselves. So where in does the justice lie, world that would torment you, with more years than required to live the life you've lived? the age of your age nipping at your heels, ripping at your throat for the blood, that is your years, so many, so long. You here, walking beyond those who pass before, daughter and soon son I fear. Helplessly I watch, as nothing can I do, but all that I can do, to make your time as bearable as can be born however I can? I can not bear your age for you, and take away your pain, but only hold your hand and tell you of my love for you, and hope you understand, I would wear your shoes for you and walk them all the miles, but it's something I can't do, for this is your life's trial. And you're "Not guilty" but still you do the time.I love you, Grandma. Written February 7th, 2002 © on Feb 07 2002 04:52 AM PST 0 • 10
