benchmark

By Richard J Sereday Jr

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Live up to me my dreams if you can, if you will, as I to you, become yours time and again. Be there for me in the night while I sleep and dream of you, until the day these dreams come true and I stand in front of you, and we touch and I wrap you in my arms, as you do the same to me. This embrace that we will know, like the world has never seen. Eat your heart out Romeo and Juliet and try to match us if you can, as we become the new benchmark for what the greatest love should be.
