Cannot be

By Richard J Sereday Jr

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

These feelings cannot be wrong, because they feels so right. How is it this can be? For I know you're promissed to another, from whom you can't break free, but his love isn't like it use to be, a long, long time ago. He's let it fade and die away, as he just watched it go. Though that's not how it's meant to be, what were you to do. Those flames of love have all burned out, and the romance, it is through, And that is something I would never do, every day I'd prove my love for you, so there was never any doubt. This glorious love we share, we two, the world will marvel about. I'd cultivate and foster it, as we did watch it grow. In the richest soil, I'd plant our love, and give it time to show. and I'd water it so carefully with freshly melted snow and in the sun, it would always be, this much you should know. Oh, desire, become fulfilled. Written January 29th, 2002 © on Jan 29 2002 05:00 AM PST   0 • 10
