Darkness

By Richard J Sereday Jr

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Darkness, now come to me and bring me back to my dreams. For in my waking hours all that I can do, is dream of sleep in dreams with you. With my kind and gentle ways, to you I do come, with these loving hands to touch you, as I tenderly stroke your soul of such great beauty which you possess, with these powerful arms to hold you, as I squeeze my love into you, and fill you to the top, with these burning lips to kiss you, as we melt into one for all times, for all the world to see, with my mind to know you, and marvel at your depth, and the complexity of your intellect. with my enduring heart to love you, from your innermost to outermost essence, and with my majestic soul to be your mate, as we intertwine like ivies on a pole, stronger two than one we shall become. I'll bring to you these things, such great gifts they be, and hold them out for you, to do with what you will. Come be with me in our dream of we, as I pray that our bounds will live on, as our love, this darkness, does vanquish. Written January 20th, 2002 © on Jan 20 2002 03:57 AM PST   0 • 12
