Do you know how much

By Richard J Sereday Jr

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Do you know how much I love you? Do you know how much I care? How you're always in my thought even when you are not here. I know you're not my Mother, but in all so many ways, in my heart you're so much more, than words could ever say. And I've learned from you so many things, than make me who I am. One that you can be proud of as I reach out for your hand. Hold it and we'll talk awhile, of times when we were young, How instead of being your grandchild I was more like your son. Yes, I know you're not my Mother, but with me that is OK, For all that you have given me, I'd have it no other way. Thank you Grandma, I love you, get well. Signed with a tear, RickThis is to my Grandma that mostly raised me while my single parent Mother worked her life away. It was just like having two wonderful Mothers, two teachers, and two best of friends. Mom has past years ago, and Grandma with broken hip in hospital does lay. I bring to her this poem along with an angel that we'll wind to hear heavenly music. Eighty six years of living and so much has her eyes seen, my one and only Grandma.
