Holder of My Heart

By Richard J Sereday Jr

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

For so long I have been dreaming of you "Holder of My Heart". At one time "Holder of My Heart", you did not have a face, so how was I to recognize your arrival? This I wondered, for a time, but no more. This question has been answered in the meeting of you. From my dreams you walked, into my heart you have arrived. So welcomed, so wanted, so waited for, the day one's dreams come true, oh how glorious. It is only the beginning of the rest of our lives, together, you and I, heart to heart, hand in hand. Our souls intertwined like ivies on a pole. The sum of the two, somehow stronger than the one and one. Together we will walk, live and love, learn and grow, and yes, together we will WIN.
