I prayed that you do

By Richard J Sereday Jr

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

As I laid down for the night, I wished it was you beside me, instead of my pillows, and I daydreamed that you were, as we said  our good nights, and I said to you "I love you" and I said it so true, that there could be no doubt in your mind that my words were true, and as I laid there dreaming of you, I wondered if you do the same, and I prayed that you do.
