Jailbird (for SolitaryTearOfAnAngel)

By Richard J Sereday Jr

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

He wraps his evil around her soul, this bad bird in a cage. Although he can not reach her, she feels from his heart, all his rage. And it haunts and taunts her in sleep, and trails her throughout her days. She wonders how in the world she can ever get away. The weaker sex would succumb to his power, she know this and worries from hour to hour. For her being, she does fear, as she fears for the day, when he does get out of his cage, and tries to make her pay. In his craziness, he could do anything, and good does not always prevail. So what to do, what to do? Do all you can do to prepare for the day, and pray that it never comes. Know of this danger and file it away, but do not worry for the rest of your days. For if you do, he has already won, this battle for control of your mind. Fear is a useful emotion, only to a point, but to dwell on it and allow it to ruin your life, is not the way it was meant to be, so just let it go and your mind will be free. ~~~~ easy for me to say, at 6 foot 1 and 250 pounds, right?
