Lying Friend

By Richard J Sereday Jr

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

I had a dream, and in my dream I was talking to a friend, and I told them that I missed you so terribly, and was so sad because you were nolong a part of my life and I told them that I couldn't understand how you were able to walk away from what we had so easily and didn't seem to miss me at all, and I wondered how you could forget about me and if you ever really loved me in the first place. And my friend said that it wasn't easy for you, and they told me that you did miss me very very much. And when I woke up and felt a little better for having know that at least you did miss me sometimes, then I realized it was only a dream.. Why do you think a friend would lie to me in my dream like that?? Written October 13th, 2001 © on Oct 13 2001 05:28 AM PST   0 • 10
