never mine

By Richard J Sereday Jr

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

You were never mine so why do I miss you so? I never had a hold of you so why can't I just let go? My dreams, they were so strong, as was my desire you see. Why does my heart want something so bad that I know will never be? And I try to tell my heart it wasn't meant to be, You don't feel the same as I for you, that's all too plain to see so why can't my heart believe it, it holds on till the end. Not only did it cost me my dreams of you, but your friendship as my friend. Written December 3rd, 2001 © on Dec 03 2001 05:41 AM PST   0 • 10
