No Angel

By Richard J Sereday Jr

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

We know you think that you are the ArchAngel of the World, but all too many time we have seen you somewhere between heaven and earth and we have seen your feet touch the ground, and we have even seen you stumble and fall, and get up brushing off the dust, and looking around to see if anyone saw. And we look away as not to embarrass you, but we see. But we know how tuff the tasks are, so we point no fingers, for we have all stumbled as well as you and felt your pointing in our own backs and we don't like it, so we don't do it so well So just let me say that we know.. You are no Angel. Written April 10th, 2000 © on Dec 10 2001 01:41 AM PST   0 • 1
