One moment (a song)

By Richard J Sereday Jr

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

1st Verse: My one moment there with you, was like something that I never knew, and when our night, it was through, I knew how badly I'd be missing you. As I looked deep into your eyes, I saw such great beauty all to my surprise. I saw all the things I'd ever need, and I prayed that you would never leave, but now you're gone, you went away, and you've got me praying for another day, that you will one day come to me, so these feelings will once again be free. Chorus: if this is a dream, I don't want to wake up, I'm right where I always wanted to be. Yes, if this is a dream, I don't want to wake up, I need your love right here with me. 2nd verse: You know you've got me hypnotized, wanting your love, Oh what a prize. The day that you come back to me, I'll be as happy as a man could be. My fingers will frolic through your hair, as we dance around the floor without a care. Our feet will never touch the ground, as on the floor we'll spin around and round, just like the first time that we danced, and in our hearts was started this romance. Yes, on my heart you've cast your trance, out on that floor where we did dance. Written January 30th, 2002 © on Jan 30 2002 02:18 AM PST   20 • 0 • 10
