Romeo Rising

By Richard J Sereday Jr

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Romance, the driving force behind all he does. Romance and romancing this Juliet of his, now forever gone. It is what he lived for. So now, what to do with this love filled heart of his? To whom will he give the roses, to whom will he speak his words of love, to whom will he write his expressions of love? To whom will he share with, his heart and soul? Could he randomly pick a soul mate, an object of desire, to shower with his precious gifts of love? No, I say, for this is not how it was meant to be. There will come a time, when least expected, that love will walk back into his life. Love in the heavenly form of an angel, and what a glorious day this will be. She will fill this void which is now filled with an emptiness, and bring love back into his life. A love that could only be dreamt of by most. He will shower her with his gifts of love undying, passion, truth, trust, and honesty, conviction, commitment, and life long loyalty. One man, one woman, one love, and two hearts. Two hearts beating as one. This Romeo will rise in time and a romance will grow again, will flow again, with the kind of love that songs are written about, the kind of love that people would die for. He will soar high above the cloud, hand in hand with his Juliet for all the world to see. This romance that even a blind man could see. Oh, how the world will envy this romance, this Romeo rising with his Juliet. Written January 21st, 1998 © on Oct 19 2001 02:58 AM PST   0 • 12
