Rose Garden

By Richard J Sereday Jr

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Love is a "Rose Garden" and we the caretakers, you and I, my Dear. Oh, how beauty fills a well tended "Rose Garden", such a sight to see. Beauty abounds from end to end, and in all corners to be seen. Should we take the best of care of our "Garden of Love", how glorious it would be. A lifetime of work with a lifetime of rewards, that's how it is meant to be. For those who neglect and let the weeds grow, the Roses will soon smother out. Such a sad sight to see, for those so lazy, that the proper care, it is not provided as it must be. And they stand in their "garden of weeds", and can only wonder why, but the answer is so plain to see, for in anything worth having, there surely must be the work, with such tender loving care, to make these Gardens thrive. So care for with me, this gift that we see, and it's beauty, it will endure. Written January 15th, 2002 © on Jan 15 2002 06:44 AM PST   0 • 12
